From March 25-29, 2025, ICWF will offer a performance-based workshop for a limited number of accomplished conductors and soloists in partnership with the Orchestra of the North Bohemian Theater. The week will consist of 6 orchestra rehearsals and a public concert with a dress rehearsal.
ICWF 2024 NBOBO August CONCERTO
From August 26 to September 4, 2024, ICWF will offer performance opportunities at the International Conducting Workshop and Festival 2024 NBOBO August workshop for a limited number of concerto soloists in partnership with the Orchestra of the North Bohemian Theater. The week will consist of 12 orchestra sessions (including three dress rehearsals) and three public performances.

ICWF 2024 Dallas
The International Conducting Workshop and Festival is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Plano West High School Orchestra and Boosters, Ryan Ross, Orchestra Director, in Plano, TX, to present a workshop from June 19 through June 24, 2024 focusing on the Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky and led again by Donald Schleicher (Northwestern University Bienen School of Music) and Farkhad Khudyev (University of Texas Austin Butler School of Music). They will be assisted by Benjamin Loeb (ICWF Artistic Director). Susan Dunn will lead Presence on Stage sessions, and Michael Sheppard will be the workshop pianist.

ICWF 2023 Avaloch
The International Conducting Workshop and Festival is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Avaloch Farm Music Institute in Boscawan, New Hampshire to present a workshop from June 11 through June 18, 2023 focusing on the Beethoven, Sibelius, Schubert and Schumann and led again by Donald Schleicher and Farkhad Khudyev, assisted by Benjamin Loeb (ICWF Artistic Director). Susan Dunn will lead Presence on Stage sessions, and Michael Sheppard will be the workshop pianist.
ICWF 2022 Two Workshops Cancelled
ICWF 2022 will present two workshops led by Larry Rachleff and Donald Schleicher - ICWF 2022: Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, July 16-26 and ICWF 2022: Beethoven, Sibelius, Bartok, August 4-15, 2022. Susan Dunn will lead Stage Presence sessions. Each workshop will be followed by one week during which eight selected participants will conduct two public performances of workshop repertoire.
ICWF 2022 Katy
Larry Rachleff and Don Schleicher lead an eight-day workshop at Seven Lakes High School, Katy, TX, July 12-19, 2022. Susan Dunn will lead Presence on Stage sessions and Russell Miller will be the workshop pianist. All sessions will be with string quintet and piano.
ICWF 2021: Brahms
ICWF 2021: Brahms Symphonies returns to Lviv, Ukraine hosted by the Lviv National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra with esteemed conductor and educator Carl St.Clair and assisted by Benjamin Loeb, July 31-August 11, 2021. Michael Sheppard will be the workshop pianist.
ICWF 2021: Brahms Sextet
Larry Rachleff and Don Schleicher lead an eight-day workshop on the Four Brahms Symphonies for 20 conductors. All sessions will be with string quintet and piano.
ICWF 2020: Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Bartok

The International Conducting Workshop and Festival will hold ICWF 2019: Beethoven, Dvorak, Stravinsky from August 6 to 16, 2019 and will be led by Larry Rachleff and Donald Schleicher. Susan Dunn will offer her Stage Deportment classes. There will also be a performance of the music of Beethoven, Dvorak, and Stravinsky given by the faculty and guest artists.
ICWF 2018: Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Berlioz
Lviv, Ukraine from July 27 to August 7 2018 with Larry Rachleff, Donald Schleicher, Taras Krysa, Susan Dunn. Five performances (orchestral, chamber) by faculty and guest artists. Public performances by participants from August 8-12, 2018.
ICWF 2017 Beethoven Part 1
The International Conducting Workshop and Festival will hold ICWF 2017: Beethoven part 1 from October 26 to 29 2017 in Dallas TX and will be led by Larry Rachleff. Susan Dunn will offer her Stage Deportment classes and violinist Michael Ludwig will hold a discussion on orchestra string playing and perform a recital. This short workshop will have six sessions with string quintet with piano.

From March 18-21, 2011 Gustav Meier will lead a unique workshop focusing on the techniques explored in his seminal text on the study of conducting: "The Score, the Orchestra, and the Conductor."
