Eric Maine

Eric Maine has been a resident of Nevada since he began working for the Clark County School District in 2012. He completed his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in Music Education with a minor in Music History, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2015 and is currently studying Orchestra Conducting at the University of Nevada Las Vegas with Taras Krysa. He holds teaching experience at both the middle and high school level. His orchestras have consistently received superior ratings at festivals in and around the Nevada area. 

Eric currently teaches at Ed W. Clark High School, where he is the director of orchestras. He directs three of the six major ensembles at Clark High School. He conducted their 2016 and 2019 performance at The Midwest Clinic an International Band and Orchestra Conference held in Chicago, IL. 

Eric currently serves as the Southern NMEA (Nevada Music Educators Association) All-State Orchestra Chair, where he oversees the student audition process, conductor selection, and the overall operation of the Orchestra rehearsal and performance at the yearly NMEA Conference. In addition, he formally served as president of the Nevada Chapter of the ASTA (American String Teacher Association). Eric also served as the conductor of the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras Philharmonic, where many student musicians gained their first full orchestra experience. Eric is a National Board Certified Teacher in Secondary Music.
