General Workshop Information

The International Conducting Workshop and Festival Rachleff and Demirjianoffers intensive conducting training and critique in a non-competitive, professional and supportive atmosphere and a great opportunity to immerse oneself deeply in important standard orchestral repertoire studying with faculty of unparalleled stature. For practical experience, participants may conduct full orchestra and/or piano sextet. Subjects will include conducting technique, interpretation, score study, analysis, rehearsal technique and musician interaction. All sessions are videotaped with professional video/sound straight to DVD providing participants with an invaluable learning tool and exceptional conducting footage. There will be ample opportunity to view the DVD's during the workshops. In order to provide the most enriching experience for all participants, enrollment is limited for all workshops. There is no concert for participants.
